Her creative process integrates a range of media, including personal narratives, sound archiving/ mixing, drawings, textiles, and sculptures. She often incorporates raw materials gathered from nature, especially “wild” clay, which she harvests directly from landscapes that inspire her work. For her, this clay is not merely symbolic or representative of a place — it is the hills, riverbeds, and memories that shaped it. This approach values natural irregularities and resists idealized perfection, emphasizing the tacit knowledge that emerges through hands-on engagement with raw matter.
Her recent exhibitions at Kunstinstituut Melly, the Nieuwe Instituut, and Land Art Flevoland reflect her dedication to fostering dialogues around the complex relationships between people, land, and memory. In both her work and her research, Artemis honors ancestral knowledge and aims to inspire transcultural conversations that enrich the fields of visual arts and spatial practices.
Artemis holds a bachelor’s degree in Interior Design from the University of West Attica (Athens, GR) and a master’s degree in Interior Architecture: Research + Design (MIARD) from Rotterdam (NL). Her academic and practical pursuits continually deepen her interest in subtle, tacit ways of knowledge production.
